Projects:
Public: Writers
Block
There are few models for the successful use of temporarily
vacant downtown lots. The organizers of this project, an
architect and a landscape gardener, created a strategy to
design and install a temporary public park for a prominent
downtown space. The goal:
capture the originality of a local writer's work through
creative combinations of garden elements with architectural
structures. The summer and fall garden for 2004 was enjoyed
by many community members and visitors to Princeton. It held
numerous community events, including fashion shows,
celebrations, lectures and readings, fairs and concerts.
